William C. Arhbold Jr., Esquire
1929 - 2013
William Cornell Archbold Jr., Esq.
Bill, ("Arch" or "Archie") to his many, many friends, died peacefully July 18, 2013. He is survived by his wife Janice Marie Kendrick, and children: Anne Archbold and her husband William Fusselmann, Cassandra Kendrick Archbold and her four children, John Cornell Archbold, Alexandra, William, and Gwendolen.
Arch was not only an outstanding trial lawyer but a former President of both the Delaware County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. While President of the Delco Bar in 1972 during its Centennial Year, Arch was also instrumental in efforts to save the Historic Chester Court House in the City of Chester.
He was a founding member in 1963 of the Kassab, Cherry Curran & Archbold law firm in Chester Pa, later, Kassab Archbold & O'Brien and now Kao Law Associates in Media.
A Korean War Veteran (Medical Company 23rd Inf. Reg. 2nd Div.) Bill was also perhaps the world's greatest Syracuse University Alum and fan (yes there is an Archbold Stadium) and a member of the University's Hall of Fame for his Lacrosse play while a student.
Husband, Father , Grandfather, Friend, sports fan, tennis buff, boater and sailor, Swarthmore High Grad., medical ombudsman for many friends, law partner, trial lawyer, outspoken defender of the rights of the oppressed victims of personal injury and the right to trial by jury, historian, jokester…the list could go on and on.
Arch's contagious laugh will be deeply missed by all.
